The full name of this work is A Relation or Journal of the Proceedings of the Plantation Settled at Plymouth in New England. William Bradford and Edward Winslow are credited with writing the book. Mourt's Relation was written between November 1620 and November 1621, and was originally published in London in 1622 by George Morton. For this reason the title of the book is Mourt's Relation. Bradford and Winslow describe the landing of the Pilgrims at Cape Cod, the exploring of and the settling in New Plymouth, and the establishing of peace with the native Indians. Winslow includes a narrative about the first Thanksgiving feast in New England and the arrival of the ship Fortunefrom England. From reading this account of the early colony, you will get the sense that the early colonists were very courageous and possessed a high degree of honor and character.
